index_02

Well as you all know I’ve been away from the scene for quite sometime a couple of months to be more precise and in that time a lot of things have changed, apart from my interest in gaming but whilst I’ve been off the net my brother has recently started up his business venture Digital-Gathering which is a console only gaming event. Now I know this site purely aims at Quake players, which we all know consists of PC users, but I’m sure if you head over to the site Digital-Gathering you’ll find a great resource in console gaming.

Back Soon…

Posted in News No comments

Well where do I start, as some of you may have already noticed; the ones that follow the site or have done in the past for tutorials, reviews and what ever else you may have been interested in would have noticed that I haven’t been around a bit lately. This is mainly due to a few reasons as for work commitments and what not, and also it’s quite difficult trying to maintain a site and do everything on your own, so the only news and tutorials that get posted are all done by myself unlike other sites that have about fifty people working on them to keep them running smoothly and accurately.

But I’ll soon be doing some more tutorials on further maps for those of you that are interested as well as some other stuff like some new reviews on gaming mice, games and Playstation 3 news and reviews, which will also be aimed at the select few console gamers I get visiting the site, as I do own a Playstation 3 and quite the Modern Warfare 2 player believe it or not.

So stay tuned…

ESL KOTH: dignitas/Vizari vs BVG-Tox1c VOD

Posted in Videos No comments

Over at www.team-dignitas.org Newman has nicely posted in full detail an ESL King of The Hill match between myself and BVG-Tox1c a top and up and coming Polish player. The spectator switches point of view but is mostly spectating myself. The game is Quakelive and the map is QzTourney4. This match kind of goes backwards and forwards for quite a bit without neither of us taking full control of the map, until near the end of the game.

Vizari CFG updated + 2 New Wallpapers

Here as requested by a few people is my latest config file which was done on the 30th of the 10th, 2009. Not much is different apart from perhaps crosshair colour, sensitivity slightly, positioning of the gun, because I did try to have the gun positioned in the middle of the screen but this decreased my LG accuracy by a lot, I’ve also got bound “+acc” on my uparrow key so you can see your accuracies on all your weapons during the game and other things you’ll notice when you download it.

Plus I’ve done a wallpaper in photoshop as some fun and this isn’t going to be the final wallpaper but I’ve had some good comments and feedback on it so I thought i’d share it with the rest of you and then you can tell me whether you like it or not.

Quake Tutorial – QZDM13 RA Rocketjump to RL Bridge

Here I’ve come up with a rocketjump from the Red Armour room on QZDM13 I’m not sure if this has been done before as I’ve not seen anyone do it, but then that doesn’t mean it hasn’t never been done by someone else but I’ve just personally not seen anyone do it, but I just wanted to see if it was possible to be made and it actually was to my surprise. I doubt it’d ever be effective in-game, because of how hard it is to do and you may fail it most of the time so would be risky to do this mid-game or especially in an important match, but for fun if you pull it off versus someone then it’d be great and would be better to rocketjump out that high instead of just going up one level as everyone else does to avoid going through teleporter, but read on to see the video of this rocketjump, thanks.

Quake Tutorial – Part 2 – Positioning & Control

This is my second major tutorial and the one that seems to be the one that most people I’ve spoken to are the most interested in so hopefully I’ll do my best in being able to break down into words and explain about the positioning and control of each duel map that is used in the Pro Scene. This is also just my opinion and my version of positioning and control and not saying my way is the best way or so on, but after 10+ years within the game and after being in countless professional tournaments, I can confidently say that I do have experience within Quake and hopefully my knowledge can transcend into text for those of you who are interested in reading this tutorial, thanks.
