About

This is a website built purely for professional gaming, whether it be general gaming news, reviews, or even the tutorial’s that I’ll soon be introducing that will begin from the lower tiers of explaining the basics and fundamentals of FPS gaming to then hopefully helping some people in reaching the top. With this site It’ll allow me to combine both my own personal experiences within professional gaming and hopefully in being able to help others progress to the next level. I also hope to advertise, promote and develop this site into something that helps or interest everyone and also with this site it gives me the platform and leverage to do that.

But here’s a brief introduction into myself, my gaming background, history and accomplishments within gaming.

I began gaming from a very young age well as soon as I could actually hold a joystick or touch keys on a keyboard I’ve been interested in and wanting to play computer games. My first fond memories of gaming would be around about the age of 7 or 8 years of age where I had would play KickStart and Donkey Kong on the Atari 800 and then also Thundercats and Time Bandits and such like games on the Atari ST, from this young age my interest and passion for games grew.

Moving on from platform, strategic and racing games I found a genre that interested me more, first person shooting (FPS) from here I found what suits me best as a gamer. I started off on Wolfenstein 3D on the Atari ST and then that’s when I found ID Software and Doom for the PC, nothing at the time could beat such a game, for suspense, action and thrills especially as a kid. Once Duke Nukem came out and Quake that’s when gaming for me got interesting, the start of playing on LAN’s (Local Area Networks) at my house with my father, brother and friends of the family, being just a kid and playing versus a bunch of adults was good, because I improved rapidly. After many years of doing this and noticing I was beating my family and friends quite comfortably and with ease I began to grow an interest in the online world of internet gaming, knowing there was loads more people out there to play, it was something that I just wanted to do, but with the limited connection speeds at the time this made it very hard in doing so but I did so anyway, because once Quake 2 hit the scene I jumped straight on it and began to play online with a 250 ping, also known as a (High Ping Bastard) HPB. Only years of suffering with a high ping and playing versus better people did I begin to improve again myself and the only thing I wanted to do at a young age was to go to a tournament to prove myself, as by being online I couldn’t do so with the disadvantage I faced. So then at the age of 14 going on 15, I entered my first Quake Tournament and came out on top, after winning some cool free stuff it made me determined to go on and achieve more, or hopefully achieve more within gaming. So from 1999 onwards I put in the effort and determination of reaching one of my main goals which is to become one of the best Quake UK based gamers and to win a CPL Qualifier, which I think I’ve achieved and much more. Since 1999 I’ve gone on to win CPL Qualifier’s, rank between #1 and #3 in the majority of regional based tournaments to establish myself as a key player within the UK community, gain sponsorship from Team Dignitas to be sponsored and to represent the United Kingdom to play in events such as WSVG (The World Series of Video Games), ESWC (Electronic Sports World Cup), QuakeCon, CPL (Cyberathlete Professional League) and the WCG (World Cyber Games) and hopefully many more to come in the near future.
