Dubai to welcome 16 Star Players Presented by the ESL

The ESL just announced their 16 invites for the Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge Dubai from 17th to 19th October 2009, those 16 players will face each other in four groups of four players each and the top two of each group will reach the playoffs, which will be a eight player single elimination ko-stage. They also announced a change of prize money, because due the large amount of interest and sign ups the amount of players was increased from 12 to 16.

New Prize Money Distribution:
1st place: $3,000
2nd place: $1,500
3rd place: $800
4th place: $400
5th to 8th place: $200
The ESL also unveiled the map list that will be used for the tournament, it will be: qzdm6, qzdm13, qztourney7, qztourney9 and ztntourney1.
Noticeably qztourney4 has been removed which will come as a surprise to most people.
