Global Challenge Dubai QL 1v1 Coverage – UPDATED – Rapha Wins

SK-Rapha takes 1st place in Dubai and his 3rd Professional consecutive tournament win, he’ll be the guy to beat at future events, but taking him down will be a difficult task it seems, srs.Cypher finished 2nd with some close and exciting matches with SK-Rapha, Noctis took 3rd place with mouz.Fox finishing 4th.

The second Intel Extreme Masters 4 Global Challenge to feature a Quakelive competition, after the Pro/Am
Challenge of Cologne, will take place in United Arab Emirates Dubai during the Gitex Shopper & Consumer Electronics Expo. A plethora of fine duelers including America’s SK.Rapha, Austria’s Noctis, Sweden’s fnatic.SPARTiE, America’s EG.DaHanG, Russia’s Mouz.Cooller and many more will battle for the $6,500!

Many games will be covered by James “2GD” Harding, Joe Miller and their friends on ESL-TV with a free 700kbps streaming. All the group matches will be played as best-of-3, then the top2 players from each group will advance to the playoff, played as best-of-5. The first matches will kick off at 13:30 BST, 17 October 2009 and the final will be played at 17:20 BST, 19 October 2009.

  • Cheers mate, cos I’m doing all this by myself , everything you see on the site that’s news or been posted is me and it’s hard trying to keep up with it all whilst working full time also, but cheers mate.

    Yeah Cooller was awesome shame we didn’t get to see him in the playoffs, it adds a bit to the excitement of the tournament if Cooller progresses. But Rapha is on fire at the moment, really impressed with him.

  • Great write up! was a fantastic tournament to watch, Rapha seems to be a step ahead of the pack at the moment.
