Quake Tutorial – RA to YA Rocket Jumps DM6
Here is an example of getting the Red Armour, Railgun and Yellow Armour in quick succession on qzdm6. I use it several times throughout duels depending on the situations within the game itself, if I’m fully stacked and in control then this can be used to take advantage of positioning of your enemies. I.E. If your enemy has recently been killed and Red Armour is up on it’s platform then I take Red Armour and quickly rocket assist to railgun and again to Yellow Armour to cut off my opponent…
…who I presume has just spawned somewhere on the other side of the map whilst i’m taking Red Armour, preferably at the lightning gun spawn, which he’ll take and then go to Yellow Armour to get himself topped up in the attempt to either go to Rocket Launcher or mid to see if Mega Health is on it’s spawn or to perhaps attempt to attack me at Red Armour, with this move I attempt to cut him off and mainly and most importantly catch him off guard and surprise him at Yellow Armour where he least expects me to be in such fast fashion.

This is also slowed down due to me having to do this video in window mode as well as fraps sucking the life out of it, so the move is a lot slower than as it would be in real time gaming, but you can still see it’s effectiveness. Added with confidence and speed, it’s a really nice move to get the railgun quickly if you haven’t yet got it; as well as then to drop down to either line up for a signature Yellow Armour zoomed rail or to carry on and to get your enemy coming up the jump pad as you land on the Yellow Armour platform, nothing better than sticking your enemy to the ceiling with the lightning gun as he’s coming up the jump pad.
